About
Feasibility first, fantasy second
Honest plans, not glossy brochures.
Italy for Retirees exists because the hardest part of retiring to Italy is not falling in love with it. It is finding out — before you sell the house and book the flight — whether your specific move can actually work.
A retirement move to Italy is a coordination job across immigration, proof of passive income, healthcare access, tax treatment, housing, and local registration. Each step depends on the one before it, and the offices involved rarely explain the sequence to newcomers. The result is a gap between the dream and a workable plan — a gap that is cheap to close on paper and expensive to close after you have arrived.
What we do
We run a Feasibility Review: it starts with your key questions and a short intake questionnaire, then one focused 30-minute session about your situation, followed by a written recap of your route and next steps. $49 USD, credited in full toward the written move plan or any package booked within 12 months. Your short recap arrives within two business days. A full written move plan is optional and priced separately — it is not included in the $49 review. The full plan covers your visa route, both budgets (one-time moving costs and monthly life in your shortlisted towns), your healthcare setup, and every step in order, delivered within a week. Insurance gets particular depth in your plan: which products exist, what US, UK, and Canadian retirees typically need, and whether your current coverage travels to Italy.
Sometimes the plan says “go, and here is the sequence.” Sometimes it is “not yet — here is what has to change first.” Both are useful. What is not useful is committing six figures to a move that was never checked.
What we do not do
- We do not sell property, and we take no commissions from agents who do.
- We give no tax advice and no financial planning advice. We map feasibility against published thresholds and hand regulated questions to qualified professionals.
- We do not sell insurance and never recommend a specific insurer. We explain the products, the typical choices, and the costs, so you can decide with your eyes open.
- Today we do not handle visa filings — we tell you what your route requires, so you or your lawyer can execute it. Done-for-you packages (application management, housing search, settling-in support) are being prepared and always start with an intro call.
- We do not promise visa or relocation outcomes. The $49 review delivers a call and short written recap.
Who provides the review?
Premium European Relocation Service AG operates the service in Switzerland. Operator and contact details are provided in the legal notice.
Who this is for
US, UK, and Canadian retirees, typically 50+, who are serious enough about Italy to want the answer in writing. If you are still browsing postcards, our guide is free. If you are close to a decision, the review is the cheapest insurance you will buy.
